UNC CPHP offers many resources and tools for public health agencies seeking to improve the skills and abilities of their workforce. These products were developed for North Carolina public health departments, but can be customized upon request for any agency.

Public Health Workforce Development System

The Public Health Workforce Development System (PHWDS) located online at PublicHealthPreparedness.org can assess individual training needs and interests and identify training opportunities that meet those needs. The system can also generate assessment-based data for agencies, organizations, and occupational groups to use when identifying training needs. Learn more.

Lifelong Learning Initiative
