This presentation, developed and recorded by Cindi Snider, MPH, provides an overview of the actions individuals can take to prepare for a hurricane.
Target Audience
These learning modules are applicable to all public health, medical, veterinary, pharmacy, emergency management, hospital and other professionals interested in public health preparedness. These modules are created by faculty and guest lecturers at the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health.
Educational Objectives
- Know what activities to undertake prior to threat and under threat of a hurricane
- Assess your current situation to determine course of action if threatened by hurricane
- Distinguish hurricane watch and hurricane warning
