Kasey Poole Decosimo, MPH

Kasey Poole Decosimo is a research associate with the North Carolina Center for Public Health Preparedness, working with the North Carolina Division of Public Health to train North Carolina local health department staff in use of the NC Electronic Disease Surveillance System (NC EDSS).

Kasey is a native Tar Heel with roots in the western part of the state. She and has a MPH in health behavior and health education from the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health, and a BA in environmental studies from UNC.

She comes to the NCCPHP from the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Health Department in Tennessee, where she has four years of experience working in the areas of population health assessments and crisis/emergency risk communications.
