Training Curriculum

Welcome to the training Web site for North Carolina Epidemiology Teams hosted by the North Carolina Center for Public Health Preparedness (NCCPHP).

This site provides realistic, relevant, and challenging training materials that Epi Teams can use to develop skills in disease surveillance, outbreak investigation, and communication.

The curriculum includes individual and group activities addressing applied epidemiology competencies designed to improve the functioning of local health department epidemiology teams.

NCCPHP worked with an advisory committee of local Epi Team members, a Public Health Regional Surveillance Team representative, and an advisor from the NC Division of Public Health to design these materials specifically for local Epi Teams in North Carolina.
